Remanufacture my engine (Option 1)

Shipping Process (no fees!)

  • We send you a tote.
  • You place your engine inside the tote.
  • UPS picks it up with a prepaid label from you house or shop

What We Do:

  • We rebuild your engine using all-new internal parts, including the oil pump, crankshaft, rods, pistons, cylinder, valves, and more.
  • Build time: 1-2 weeks. Contact us if you need it sooner!

Once Rebuilt:

  • We ship your engine back to you via UPS

Warranty: 1-year warranty included.

Crate Engines (Option 2)

  • These crate engines are built to order and usually take 1-2 weeks to build. Call us if you need it sooner.
  • Free shipping to you.
  • We arrange pickup for your core with a prepaid label
  • Refund: Get a $1200 core refund once we receive your old engine

Warranty: 1-year warranty included.

 

All RPM Engines include:
  • Standard one year warranty. 
  • OEM (Polaris) oil pump
  • Hot Rod's heavy duty crank shaft
  • Hot Rod's heavy duty connecting rods
  • Vertex Forged piston Kit
  • Vertex standard bore plated cylinder
  • Hot Cam's heat treated timing chain and oil pump chain
  • Kibble White upgraded bronze valve guides
  • Hot Cams forged, nitrate coated valves
  • Hot Rod's replacement crankshaft and balancer bearings
  • Vertex gasket and seal kit
  • Hot Cams upgraded spring style tensioner (for problematic hydraulic tensioner replacement)
All Engines are completely disassembled and inspected. The cases and heads are pressure washed with hot water to clean all contaminants. If any components have major build up, they will be media blasted. After the components are cleaned and inspected, they are ready for reassembly. 

Reassembly key points: 
  • Crank bearings and rod bearings are plastiguaged to ensure they are within spec tolerances.
  • Piston ring gaps are measured (feeler gauged) to ensure they are within spec tolerances.
  • Piston rings are clocked to their appropriate positions (180 degrees alternating).
  • Cylinders are thoroughly cleaned to remove machining oil and dust.
  • Valve guides are removed and replaced with upgraded bronze guides.
  • Valve guides are bored precisely for new valves.
  • Valve seats are machined/cut to accept new valves.
  • Valves are lapped to ensure that they seal properly.
  • All valve tappets are machined to ensure they are within proper overhead specs.
  • Heads are resurfaced to prepare a flat and clean surface for the head gasket.
