Engine Remanufacturing Process:

All engines are fully disassembled and inspected. Cases and heads are pressure-washed with hot water to remove contaminants. Components with significant buildup are media blasted. Once cleaned and inspected, the engine is ready for reassembly.

Reassembly Highlights:

  • Crank and rod bearings are plastigauged to confirm proper tolerances
  • Piston ring gaps are measured and confirmed to be within spec
  • Piston rings are clocked at alternating 180-degree positions
  • Cylinders are cleaned to remove machining oils and debris
  • Valve guides are replaced with upgraded bronze guides and precisely bored
  • Valve seats are machined for proper valve fit
  • Valves are lapped to ensure a proper seal
  • Valve tappets are machined to meet overhead clearance specifications
  • Cylinder heads are resurfaced to ensure a clean, flat sealing surface
